Schutte is a serial entrepreneur Whose Digital Media Network Inc. is ranked first on The Business Journal’s list of largest Web site developers.

Schutte was born and educated in South Africa and moved to the Philippines and developed a textile company that was sold to Levis USA. He then moved to Munich, Germany, and developed Swing Rent-A-Car into the city’s largest private car rental agency.

He and his business partner Thomas Bernthaler formed Medical Data Bank in 1990, which used a data card to provide valuable information in case of emergency. After selling that business and the car rental business, Schutte joined Bernthaler in Digital Media Network, which now has offices in Fort Lauderdale, Ukraine and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Digital Media Network includes a consultancy practice that uses technology to help clients. Schutte has also developed business relations between South Florida and Malaysia by leading trade mission.

Schutte is Chairman of team of life, which supports the child rescue and community activities of Essie reed of Fort Lauderdale, known as Big Mama.
